Welcome To Community Bible Church of Kennesaw, Georgia

Welcome to the Community Bible Church website. 2009 will mark our 37th year in the ministry of God's Word, and the proclamation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, who alone is God of very God, who alone grants the forgiveness of sins, and bestows eternal life by grace through faith alone through His death, burial, and resurrection! * Please feel free to navigate through the various pages. Thank you for visiting us online, and we look forward to your visit in person on Sunday Mornings & Wednesday Evenings.

Sunday Mornings in June

For Sunday mornings in June, we will continue our new and exciting study on the "The Revelation of Jesus Christ" also known as "The Book of Revelation," easily considered to be the most misunderstood yet profoundly significant book in the entire Bible. This last of the New Testament letters is approached today with more subjective interpretations of any book in either Old or New Testament. The author was the Apostle John, who was exiled to the Isle of Patmos, (located off the coast of modern day Turkey) by Roman authorities during the last years of his life for his Christian missionary activities. The letter was written around 96 A.D., and personally addressed to the seven churches in Asia Minor. John was writing in part to encourage the believers to stand firm in the face of incredible persecution of trials that lay ahead. But as with all Scripture, it is as pertinent to us today as when John wrote - and even more so as many prophecies are contained therein concerning our future. Join us as we continue this often startling look into this apocalyptic vision that God gave to John to share with Church.  *Elder/Teacher Jerry Willman will lead our study on Sunday mornings.

Wednesday Evenings at Community

Wednesday Evenings begin promptly at 7:00pm, with our group discussions on the topics we are covering on Sunday mornings, as well as group prayer time for weekly church needs, church family emergency needs, (medical, financial, and otherwise). We believe a time of prayer together is essential to have God's leading amongst us.  We will begin a new series of group studies led by different teachers on several topics.

*Nursery and Class for children is provided. Youth Group (teens) meet at 630pm for pizza, and then have their own time together in signing and teaching. Non-member teens are always Welcome1 *Our Wednesday evenings are not just for church members, as we encourage the public to attend & share in our discussions and time of prayer.

Our Statement of Purpose at Community Bible Church is to glorify God through the worship of our Risen Savior, 'Yeshua,' the Messiah, Jesus Christ, the Son of the living God, God of very God, and the Redeemer of our souls, who paid the penalty for our sin, dying in our place on the cross, freeing us forever from the grip of sin and death, granting us liberty, and eternal life, now and forever, blessed be His Name! We believe the Church of Jesus Christ is called to teach the Scriptures, which we believe to be infalliable, inerrant, and as pertinent to our lives today as when originally written; and making disciples to share the great gospel of God.

We believe that the church is called to share this great gospel of God, the "Good News," that by God's grace we are saved through faith, and that faith is not something we are capable of earning or keeping; instead it is the gift of God, and not of our own works, or religious ideals, or any human attempts to please God to gain such.

As His Body we are called to share this Good News, not only across the world, which we are actively involved, (partnering with churches in Romania, Guatemala, Chile, and Liberia) but even more so in our own local community of Kennesaw/Acworth. This is our hope at Community Bible Church. This is our purpose for inhabiting our building here on Chastain Road, (since 1998).

We warmly invite you to visit us, and if seeking a church home, to consider us as that place where you can apply the spiritual gifts God has bestowed upon you, as well as having your own spiritual needs met.
